On July 3rd 2010, the family of Rotary Sofia International- Rotary, Rotaract, Interact at “Meridian 22″ and Interact at AAS invites you to our New Board party.
Marking the official ending of the 2009-2010 Rotarian year and the start of a new one, the RSI family will introduce the new boards of the four clubs.
Annual Golf Tournament
On June 26th, the family of Rotary Sofia International took part and contributed to the organization of the annual golf tournament of our clubs. The Organizing Committee led by Mr. Phil Clayton, member of Rotary Sofia International implemented this annual project in favor of the CEDAR Foundation. At Air Sofia Ihtiman Golf club, more then 25 golfers and many guests gathered to spend some great time together. Tennis, basketball, volleyball, horse riding, bowling, BBQ, raffle were only part of the exciting moments the family of Rotary Sofia International offered to those who came to support this charitable initiative. Interested in the most gentleman’s game had also the chance to try their newbie talent taught by leading golfer.
New member - Lyubomir Zhelehanov
The Rotaract Club Sofia International had the pleasure to conduct its member induction ceremony on June 21 2010 during a regular meeting.
The new member is Mr. Lyubomir Zhelehanov – a high-school graduate of the Anglo-American School in Sofia and secretary of the Interact Club Sofia International at the Anglo-American School. He has been visiting the Club for more than half year and has helped in the realization of a couple of projects.
Mr. Zhelehanov is proposed by our fellow member and current secretary – friend Ms. Paola Ivanova.
Balloons at the Hawaii Party
The Rotaract Club Sofia International attended a Hawaii Party after a full day of Tennis tournament. The events were organized by Rotaract Club Sofia and this was the 16th edition of the project. At the Hawaii Party the members of Rotaract Club Sofia International (Dimiter Mandradjiev, Paola Ivanova, Evelina Sandalova) and the members of the Interact Club Sofia International at the Anglo-American School (Lyubomir Zhelehanov, Atanas Mihnev), who also attended the party, had the pleasure to participate in the charitable auction and raffle. The Rotaract Club Sofia International bought at the auction the Bulgarian invention of the 20th century – a “chushkopek” = “pepper-baker” (a portable oven which is only for baking peppers). All the proceeds from the event are for a social fascility for young women near Sofia city. The event was very well organized and despite the heavy rain all the guests had fun.
New member - Kristina Kovacheva
The Rotaract Club Sofia International had the pleasure to transfer a member of Rotaract in The Netherlands on June 14 2010 during a regular meeting.
The new member is Ms. Kristina Kovacheva – a law student at University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands. She has been helping the Rotaract Club Sofia International mostly in the SOFIMUN initiative.
Ms. Kovacheva asked to be transfered to the Rotaract Club Sofia International as she said that the work and activities “coincide” with her idea of a Rotaract Club.
New member - Evelina Sandalova
The Rotaract Club Sofia International had the pleasure to conduct its member induction ceremony on June 14 2010 during a regular meeting.
The new member is Ms. Evelina Sandalova – a high-school graduate of Trade and Banking School of Sofia and president of the Interact Club Sofia International at the Meridian 22 education institution. She has been visiting the Club for more 1 year and has helped in the realization of a couple of projects.
Ms. Sandalova is proposed by our fellow member and current secretary – friend Ms. Paola Ivanova.
Members of the 2 Interact clubs of Sofia International Rotary family
Members of Rotaract Club Sofia International attended and supported the project “ECO Project – Save the Nature” which was initiated on June 12 2010 in National Nature Park “Vitosha”. The event was organized by the young Interactors from IAC Sofia International at Meridian 22 High-School. The ecological project for saving the nature involved Interactors from both IAC Sofia Interantional at Meridian 22 High-School and Interact Club Sofia International at the Anglo American School in Sofia, and Rotaractors from Rotaract Club Sofia International. Together they combined their knowledge and efforts in cleaning our beautiful mountain Vitosha, painting signs and having a good day in the nature.
New member - Asparuh Karastoyanov
The Rotaract Club Sofia International had the pleasure to conduct its member induction ceremony on June 7 2010 during a regular meeting.
The new member is Mr. Asparuh Karastoyanov – a high-school graduate of Anglo-American School of Sofia and president of the Interact Club Sofia International at the same education institution. He has been visiting the Club for more 1,5 year and has helped in the realization of a couple of projects.
Mr. Karastoyanov is proposed by our fellow member and current president – friend Mr. Dimiter Mandradjiev.
