RACSI and SOFIMUN at Chic & Cozy
Prominent members and regular guests of Rotaract Club Sofia International and the SOFIMUN Foundation attended the 2nd edition of the High-Life party Chic & Cozy which is organized by a couple of lifestyle companies and media sector companies. The party as the past 1 edition was a charitable party which aims to help the I CAN TOO Foundation to raise funds for their work. The work of the foundation is focused on the most unprivileged members of our society – the children with disabilities. Its major goal is to change the public attitude towards these children and their families, and to affect their social standing by meeting people with their real needs and problems. The long-term goal of the foundation is the founding of Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities in accordance with European standards, still not existing in Bulgaria.

The Past-President and the new President of Rotaract Club Sofia International
Members from Rotaract Club Sofia International (Ms. Evelina Sandalova, Ms. Paola Ivanova and Mr. Asparuh Karastoyanov) organized a wonderful party for the board change of the 4 clubs that for the Rotary Sofia International Family. The New Board Celebration Party took place at Karaoke club “2night” on Saturday night (July 3rd 2010) right after the teambuilding which was during the same day.

Mr. Promberger explaining leadership types
The 4 clubs that form the Rotary Sofia International Family organized their teambuilding for 1 days in Sofia city on July 3rd 2010.
Over 30 members and guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with a couple of topics related to the types of leaderships and the way that organizations and teams have to work on a coherent way in order to manage to cope with pressure that may occur on some occasions.

Balloons at the Hawaii Party
The Rotaract Club Sofia International attended a Hawaii Party after a full day of Tennis tournament. The events were organized by Rotaract Club Sofia and this was the 16th edition of the project. At the Hawaii Party the members of Rotaract Club Sofia International (Dimiter Mandradjiev, Paola Ivanova, Evelina Sandalova) and the members of the Interact Club Sofia International at the Anglo-American School (Lyubomir Zhelehanov, Atanas Mihnev), who also attended the party, had the pleasure to participate in the charitable auction and raffle. The Rotaract Club Sofia International bought at the auction the Bulgarian invention of the 20th century – a “chushkopek” = “pepper-baker” (a portable oven which is only for baking peppers). All the proceeds from the event are for a social fascility for young women near Sofia city. The event was very well organized and despite the heavy rain all the guests had fun.

Members of the 2 Interact clubs of Sofia International Rotary family
Members of Rotaract Club Sofia International attended and supported the project “ECO Project – Save the Nature” which was initiated on June 12 2010 in National Nature Park “Vitosha”. The event was organized by the young Interactors from IAC Sofia International at Meridian 22 High-School. The ecological project for saving the nature involved Interactors from both IAC Sofia Interantional at Meridian 22 High-School and Interact Club Sofia International at the Anglo American School in Sofia, and Rotaractors from Rotaract Club Sofia International. Together they combined their knowledge and efforts in cleaning our beautiful mountain Vitosha, painting signs and having a good day in the nature.

The Rotaract Club Sofia International officially presented Ms. Paola Ivanova with the prestigious honorary award SLAVYANODEYATEL (English language translation – Slavic maker). The award and the honorary mention are for work and support for the enrichment and development of the Slavic culture and traditions. The awards are given on an annual basis for 1 non-Rotary member and 1 Rotaract member. The initiative is proposed and founded by the 1st president of the Rotaract Club Sofia International – Mr. Dimiter Mandradjiev.

The Family of Rotary Club Sofia International organized one of the biggest charity events in District 2482 – the Austrian Evening which aimed to raise funds for 2 initiatives – PASTRA Organization and the SOS Children’s Village.

Members of Rotaract Club Sofia International, led by Mr. Ivan Kyurkchiyski and members of Interact Club SI 1 and Interact Club SI 2 participated at a teambuilding organized as a carting race in Sofia city on May 23.
The current president of Interact Club SI 2 – Mr. Asparuh Karastoyanov won most of the times, as he has been a professional pilot at a national level for quite some time.

The library of the Chitalishte "Hristo Botev-1907" in Novi Iskar district of Sofia city
The Rotaract Club Sofia International donated around 240 books to the chitalishte (a Bulgarian cultural type of institution) Novi Iskar (a district in the outskirts of Sofia city). The project was led by the current Vice-President – Mr. Ivan Kyurkchiyski with the help of a couple of members of Rotaract. This was the 2-nd part of a donation which the Club made to this institution.

The Sofia International Interact Club at The Anglo-American School had its chartering ceremony and party at the luxurious Sheraton Hotel. The event gathered high-level officials from the Rotary organization in Bulgaria as well as many public figures from the political, cultural, economic and academic life of Sofia city and Bulgaria.
