RACSI and friends attended a charitable Halloween party

Members and friends of Rotaract Club Sofia International at the charitable Halloween party
On Sunday evening at Club Gramaphone in Sofia city, members and friends of Rotaract Club Sofia International attended the charitable Halloween party in support of the Mr. Lubomir Georgiev. Mr. Georgiev is ill from chondrosarcoma (bone cancer) and in the pelvic region appeared a formation which quickly gained a large scale. In May 2010 Mr. Georgiev went through a life-saving operation in France, where his left leg and part of the pelvis were amputated. To be able to walk again, Lubo requires rapid production of a modular prosthesis with a specialized hip. Unfortunately the human body is arranged in a manner so that after about three months a person is able to forget to walk and must re-learn this normal thing.
The construction of the prosthesis costs about 17 000 BGN. With the family and friends of Mr. Georgiev there have been gathered some of the required amount. The residual amount to be collected is about 10 000 BGN.
The entrance to the event was 10 Euro, as the funds raised went to help Mr. Lubomir Georgiev. The initiative was supported by all Rotaract clubs in Sofia.
