Annual honorary mention and award for enrichment and development of Slavic culture.
The Rotaract Club Sofia International has developed an annual prestigeous honorary award – SLAVYANODEYATEL (English language translation – Slavic maker). The award and the honorary mention are for work and support for the enrichment and development of the Slavic culture and traditions. The awards are given on an annual basis for 1 non-Rotary member and 1 Rotary member. The initiative is proposed and founded by the 1st president of the Rotaract Club Sofia International – Mr. Dimiter Mandradjiev.
Annually the Rotaract Club Sofia International opens a CALL FOR NOMINATIONS for all interested people who wish to nominate a person who has enriched and developed the Slavic culture in Bulgaria and abroad. Priority is given to young people.

Mrs. Anelia Dosheva (Rotary member)
Mrs. Anelia Dosheva is member of Rotary Club Sofia Vitosha and has been elected for District-Governor for District 2482. Mrs. Dosheva is founder, owner and president of Edita Group Ltd. – company which produces and promotes music, movie-making, book-distribution and organizes festivals and concerts.
One of the main activities which provoked the Rotaract Club Sofia International to give the award to Mrs. Anelia Dosheva is the work she has done for the past 20 years in the sphere of Slavic culture. This is not the first award for the work of Mrs. Anelia Dosheva, but is the first for exactly this work which is given directly to Mrs. Dosheva. We hope that her work will continue to help the development of Slavic culture.

Ms. Poli Genova (non-Rotary member)
Ms. Poli Genova is young Bulgarian music talant. Ms. Poli Genova has been working in the music sphere for the past 17 years, first as part of the children vocal band Bon-Bon and later mostly as a solo artist. She has gained numerous awards for children and young artists.
The Rotaract Club Sofia International is highly honored to give the non-Rotary member award for SLAVYANODEYATEL 2011 to Ms. Poli Genova for her activeness and contribution to the Slavic culture and traditions in the past couple of years. We hope that her work will continue to help the development of Slavic culture.

Mr. Nikolay Tekeliev (non-Rotary member)
Mr. Nikolay Tekeliev is Manager of the National Press Club of the National News Agency (Bulgarian Telegraph Agency) and besides his professional duties, for more than 30 years he is actively involved in the popularizaiton of Slavic festivals and children and young performers. He is a high honored member of FIDOF (Federation Internationale des Organisations de Festivals – International Federation of Festival Organizations) and besides being a member of various juries, he is also involved in representing different foreign dance and music festivals in Bulgaria.
One of the main activities which provoked the Rotaract Club Sofia International to give the 1st honorary mention and award to Mr. Nikolay Tekeliev is that he works for raising funds and sometimes sponsors from his name children and youth performers in order they to be prepared and take part in festivals and contests around the globe. Motivated by the idea to help children and youth formations and performers he establishes one of the first NGO-s in Bulgaria for organizing, preparation and sending of talanted and gifted Bulgarian children to take part in prestige international festivals. The name of the NGO is Association SPEKTAR.

Ms. Paola Ivanova (Rotaract member)
Ms. Paola Ivanova is the current Secretary of the Rotaract Club Sofia International and elected to be Vice-President of the same club for the next Rotarian year. She is a former member of Rotaract Club Sofia Vitosha and a founding member of the Rotaract Club Sofia International. Besides her Rotarian activities she is the President of the SOFIMUN International Foundation and General-Secretary of the National Union “Treasure the Bulgarian Heritage”. She has a MA in Slavic studies from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and is currently exloring the Social Media sphere as a PhD researcher at the Faculty for Journalism and Mass Communication. She is one of the most awarded students in the history of the Faculty for Slavic Studies at the Sofia University.
The Rotaract Club Sofia International is highly honored to have as a member one of the youngest professional translators in Bulgaria from Serb-Croatian languages. One of the main achievements is the completion of the translation of the book “Izvjestaj iz tamnog vilaeta” of Dzevad Karahasan. This is the first book of this author ever translated in Bulgarian language and with this activity Ms. Paola Ivanova has opened the door for the cultural enrichment of the Bulgarian society with the world of Dzevad Karahasan.
