The Rotaract Club Sofia International hosted a joint meeting with Rotaract Club Sofia and with the special guests from Rotarat Club Varna who were in Sofia for a couple of very important events and among them the meeting with RAC Sofia International… read to the end to know why!

On Nov 30 2009 the conference hall of h-l DOWNTOWN was filled to its utmost capacity. The hosts from Rotaract Club Sofia International had to take out the big tables around which most of the meetings are done in order to have space to accomodate the 45 Rotaractors from couple of clubs for the joint meeting of RAC Sofia International and RAC Sofia. Most of the Rotaractor were from RAC Sofia International, RAC Sofia, RAC Varna and a couple from RAC Sofia Balkan, RAC Sofia Vitosha, RAC Sofia – Vitosha Izgrev, RAC Sofia Center and former members of other RAC clubs from the district 2482.

The bell was rung by Mr. Dimiter Mandradjiev (President of RAC Sofia International) and after listening the National Anthem of Bulgaria the meeting was opened with a random Rotarian’s prayer said by our fellow friend and Seargent at Arms Mr. Boris Tassev who provides us with random prayers on occasional basis. After the opening the meeting was conducted by Mr. Dimiter Mandradjiev and Mr. Alexander Angelov (President of RAC Sofia). Our fellow friend Mr. Angelov started by mentioning that they as organizers of the just-passed initiative BULGARIAN FOLKLORE 2009 are grateful to the help, support and sponsorship received from Rotaract Club Sofia International and handed to Mr. Mandradjiev a gratitude letter. Afterwards many initiatives were mentioned and put on a constructive debate.

The special guest of Rotaract Club Sofia International from Rotaract Club Varna lead by our fellow friend Ms. Aby Albena Momcheva announced that the members of RAC Varna have come to this meeting in order to meet and try to find support and help from RAC Sofia International for the establishment of a Rotaract Club Varna Euxinograd International in order to spread the idea for internationality in another part of Bulgaria and to work with more foreign clubs. Our dear friend Aby also invited the members of RAC Sofia International on a special visit in Varna in the coming months. The Rotaract Club Sofia International welcomes the idea for another International club in the district and will help and support in every possible the processes of mutual progress. The invitation for a special visit to Varna is an honor and will be initiated in the next couple of months.

At the end of the meeting every present Rotaractor or guest presented him/herself. After announcing invitations for a couple of cultural events – theatre and opera visits Mr. Mandradjiev as a generous host gave the final word and the right to ring the bell to Mr. Angelov.
After the conclusion of the meeting almost all went to a specially reserved restaurant nearby to have informal talks on meetings.
